How Mycocheck Assesses Risk
Analyses by Mycocheck are are accompanied by a risk rating of low, medium, or high. The risk posed by a sample is determined from the detected levels of each mycotoxin.
As each mycotoxin has different toxicities, Mycocheck has assigned each one a different risk threshold based both on our experience and international legislation for those toxins where maximum permissible limits exist.
These threshold limits are shown below.

If a sample contains more than one toxin, each one will be assessed for risk individually. The highest risk of all the detected mycotoxins will be used for the sample.
Low, Medium, and High Risk
The low, medium, and high risk threshold values have been determined from a combination of current legislation and the experience of Micron Bio-Systems.
Different mycotoxins have different toxicities, and can have significantly different impacts on different species. Many different countries have their own regulations for different mycotoxins, but there are differences between them. In order to report a simplified risk for many different sample types from different regions, and allow comparison between them, Mycocheck has developed a risk assessment system based on its own experience and knowledge and international legislation.

Certificates of Analysis
The risk for each sample is shown, colour coded, on the certificate of analysis (COA). The toxins that have contributed to that risk are listed for clarity.
